I have had massages on cruises and they were not among the best I have had. The cruise lines tend to "sell you" on massages with a whole bunch of add-ons like hot rocks, sea weed, aroma therapy, etc, that adds to the cost but does not get to tired sore muscles like a good deep tissue massage will do. So if you want a touchy-feely rubbing massage (Swedish) that leaves you smelling nice when you finish, get one. But if you have a sore/tired body that needs muscles relaxed, skip it and get a cheaper one back home.

I think so. If you like massages, there really isn't much difference between the ones on a cruise. You are on vacation, so it is ok to splurge a little. Just being on a cruise is really relaxing, so a nice massage to help relive tension can make it that much more enjoyable.

There are tons of options of what you can get, so you can save money doing different packages and things like that. If you are going as a couple, you can also look into packages the cruise line may have available like a "romance package" it usually includes a couples massage, dinner at the nicer restaurant, champagne, etc.

They are nice but I perfer to stay in one place like a resort because when you get off on Islands you have to keep track of what time to return. I like to do what I want when I want. All inclusive places on Islands are great.
