Proud to be an AMERICAN! I love the food here and I also enjoy trying other countries foods, but nothing comes down to a big ol' greasy hamburger, or hot dog with some greasy french fries and a good ol' american soft drink, or better yet, beer to go along with it! If you don't like our food, then don't eat it!!!!!

It is all a matter of taste, as well as dependent on how well it is prepared. I have not traveled like I wish I had, but I am sure that jetgirly is right and there is good food and crappy food all over the world. Just because something is spicy hot it doesn't automatically make it good.
If you go to bad resturaunts or chefs you will get bad tasting food. If you go to good resturaunts or chefs you can get good tasting food filled with a wide variety of textures, flavors and savory herbs that can amaze you while not relying on pure spice heat. That's like saying that all modern comics are funny because they cuss a lot, it's just not true.

Totally not true. If you only eat at budget restaurants or fast food places, of course you're going to get bland, tasteless food. If you eat homecooking or in fine-dining establishments, you'll find food that is fresh and full of flavour. Look for places that cook with local ingredients that are in season. One of my favorite local restaurants serves the following menu:
- Chilled Asparagus with parmigiano reggiano crisp & hazelnut oil
- Roast Cowichan Bay Farm Chicken Breast with morels, fiddleheads, simple jus & truffle oil
-Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
You tell me how that could be tasteless!
I've eaten crappy food in Morocco and Egypt, and I've eaten good food in those countries too. I've eaten bland food in Italy, Spain, Sweden, France, the USA and Canada, and I've eaten fantastic food in those countries too. I think the problem is that you get what you pay for, and you're not investing enough.

i totally agree with you. western food is bullshit on the average.
they don't know how to cook or eat. they have big names and lots of decorations but they are just bullshit. I will rate North Indian cuisine number one. Next comes Chinese and Middle-Eastern. I can pay 1/25 of the money to eat superbly delicious foods(even in the streets) in the Indian Subcontinent.
