This is basically up to you. The doctors always tell people to wait 6 weeks to heal. If you feel you're ready then go for it. I had a c-section with both my kids. After the first I only waited 2 weeks to have sex, after the second I waited 2 months. If you think you are ready and have healed up enough go for it. And have fun:-)

Our doctor said 4 to 6 weeks. If you have no open wounds from tearing or an episiotomy, then there should be no problem. Just have him go slow and stop if there is pain. If you are on top, you can control how fast and deep you go; so, that might be the best for your first time.
Feed and change your baby and put him/her to sleep just before you start. You will need to take your time and you don't need interruptions.
Use birth control unless you are ready to have another baby right away. I have known two different women who got pregnant again right after their first postpartum period.

six weeks should do it. however if you aren't comfortable tell him to wait. He will get over it. But you shouldn't do anything till your ready and after your doctor says its ok. Otherwise you might hurt and regret doing so. It is different for everyone, some don't wait six weeks others wait longer, and depending on the person it may have been a bad idea to go back to having sex so soon.

6 Weeks, but Darn- Give it 2 months. I know three people personally that Between Nov & Now, that have gotten pregnant again within 3 months of having their newborn. They tell you to wait for more than 1 reason, so Hold off if you can!

You should wait until your doctor says it's okay. That way you know for sure you are healed. Once you do, make sure to use birth control because you can get pregnant again right away after having a baby.

Doctors recommend 6 weeks but really its when you think your able to. Your body has been through alot so take that in consideration when your hormones start to race. I ve been home 10 days and all ive been thinking about is sex and when to start again but im way to sore down there to even think twice about actually doing to deed. Everyone is different if you think your ready try it out but be carefull you may do more damage than pleasure.

In my experience as a father and a husband, I say if you are up to it, go for it! There is no reason in the world you can not have sex. It's been a month, your husband must be pulling his hair out by now!

After each of my children the doctor said wait three weeks. Take all the time you need. People heal differently. Depending on how the birth of your child went. But once your ready go for it!

Dr recommends 6 weeks. I know couples that went sooner though. If you had a lot of stitches when you are ready take it slow, it will hurt a bit the first few times (not horribly but it is uncomfortable).
