You will not be able to marry until after he is mainlined. There are no reception center weddings. After he is mainlined, he can request a marriage packet from the Chaplain or his counselor. For details about the facility after he's mainlined, visit the appropriate forum at http://prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=257
Oh, By the way, has he sent you a visitor's questionaire yet? It is form CDC-106, he has to sign the back before he sends it, but once you are approved to visit, that approval will follow him to his mainline facility.
Good luck to you both.

If he's gonna be gone for 2 yrs. it would probably be best if you just waited. Of course you can be supportive and loving and dedicated, but do you really want your wedding memories to be in a prison? There is nothing that you can't do being engaged during that period that you could do if you where to marry.
I'm sure if your marriage is meant to be then he will understand that you would like to wait to have a proper wedding and HONEYMOON!!!! He is the one that made the mistake and he needs to understand that after a 2yr. "break" in your relationship, you deserve to have a Special Day that you can Cherish.
Besides, look at all the planning you two can do together!!! He has to listen to ya he can't get away!!! lol.

What is he in for. Some prisons allow you to marry.
My advice to you is that this conduct has been going on a long time and he got caught, unless something like stupidly driving after revocation or some other charge that is not violent or necessarily criminal as we look at it.
If it is for burglary violence, a sex offense, or any other major crime, get rid of him and get some counseling!

i would say wait until he gets out. marriage is a big deal, dont you want your wedding day to be a day youll always remember? if you wait out the two years youll be able to know that your love can handle some tough obstacles, and you can have your beautiful wedding and be able to go off on a great honeymoon, and also your husband will be able to come home with you after the wedding. i know its hard but it would be worth the wait..hes obviously not going anywhere.

You must not be very smart wanting to marry a jailbird.
Tell him if he is rehabilitated when he gets released in two
years, then you might marry him. Give him something to
look forward to and work for just to get you if he's that much
in love with you. Otherwise, be wise and look elsewhere for
someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.

I'd wait to see if you still love him after two years. Marry in a church, not in a jail.
