. Determine 2 topics of importance to you, and ask Dad his opinion about them. Listen attentively.
2. Invite Dad to go for a walk or bike ride with you (or play his favorite sport together).
3. Give Dad 3 sincere compliments sprinkled throughout the day.
4. Display greater patience and tolerance for the things he does that annoy you.
5. Tell Dad 2 things you greatly appreciate that he does for you.
6. Give him a big hug.
7. What’s been on "his" mind lately? Think of ways that you can help calm the situation, accomplish the goal, or provide emotional support.
8. If you live miles apart and can only call Dad, commit to a fun light-hearted conversation. Complaints, problems, physical ailments, money issues -- talk involving any of these topics is off-limits.
9. Wives, don’t ask "Honey does this make me look fat?"
10. What chores does Dad always do? Pick one and do it for him.

Honor the man who "stepped in" to raise my daughter because her biological father never cared to. He himself was raised by his grandfather because his own father was never around, so that makes him even more special. Dinner, a present, and hugs from us along with a special card.

Nothing. I go and tell my father on father's day what a lousy drunk he is( because its true), but I don't buy him anything because he doesn't deserve it!

Ask my dad to fix something broken at my house or in my car...he loves fixing stuff...and loves the excuse to come over and drink tons of coffee (his new wife hates coffee and won't let it in their house.)
