I'm too traditional. Orion sounds a bit contrived like you are trying too hard to be different. Orion is a great hunter. How about Hunter?

this day in age...anything goes and at least it's pronouncable. my son went to school with a boy named Talon, that is very unusual. My dog's name is Zeus, so I guess Orion would not be too bad for a boy. If your son, later on wants to go by a more conventional name ,he could always go by Ryan, which is a great name!!!

I think the kids will call him oreo in school.... not that I have much room to talk as my chid is named Indran but that is because his grand father is from India so it kinda goes with the last name....what I am trying to say is if you have a justification for it as in it's a family name or it is part of his family history/culture then why not. Otherwise you might want to find something else. keep being original though!

There are a few rare names out there. Orion, is sure not one of them. But if I were to be you, I would shoot for the rare names. One of the rares, my cousin has. His name is Qq. Yes, Qq. Pronounced as "Que". This name is classic. I would like YOu to name your child that. Another rare would be Quishi, Qootsie, or Oreo. THis is not funny. Think about it. (A son of a rich women was named Qq, too)

i think it is a good name if that is the name you want. as long as you and your partner are happy with the name it is your choice.but you should consider things like names that have special meaning for you and your partner. also consider the fact that your child is going to have to live with the name ,don't name them something they will get picked on for.

NO! Get real people. Think about the child not your own selfish need to be different.
