Soul in the body, spirit out of the body.

Bible says, that there is 3 part of human : body, that is sinful (because of what happened in Eden), then spirit (if you are not a believer you do not know what kind of spirit you have, but if you connect to God, He gives you His spirit - He will live in you!) and the last one is soul and that it consisits of emotions and FREE WILL!! so, you decide if you want to live for your body or for spirit, but if you will live for your soul, still you live for your body! - this is hard to understand, because we feel so much emotions, sometimes good sometimes bad, but when you are strong in God, than you never feel this way (only when your soul say yes to body)

I will explain this to you the best way I know how: by looking at the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are a three-part being. Just as we have a body, soul, and spirit, so does God. The Father is known as the soul. He is the part of the body that experiences emotions. It is this part that enables Him to love, feel anger, disappointment, excitement, etc. Jesus represents the body, being that He came down to us "in the flesh". This part is fairly self explanatory. Finally, the Holy Spirit represents God's Spirit. He lives in those who know and love Him. He gives them directions to guide them through life, and He enables them to reach out to others. He is the directive spirit in those that serve the Lord. I hope this makes more sense, if you need clarification, let me know! God bless!

I beleive Olivia B has given a detailed answer of your answer. from my perspective the soul is the part of us that is eternal;it cannot die. the spirit is the part that is able to die along with our body. the part that we should be more concern about is our soul as God asked "what does it profit a man to gain this whole world and loss his one soul?". Yes we only have one soul and that is why God came to die for us

Soul is something everyone is born with.
It is a part of You

A spirit is something you were also born with,
but it has a voice of its own.
Ex: You may see or experience a situation,
but something in the middle of you tells you its right or wrong.

Not necessesarily a (spiritual or religous) experience.
But something that helps us seperate the important from the unimportant things in our lives.

soul is mortal. spirit is your life force, much like electricity powers an appliance, your spirit powers you. when your soul dies, (Ezekiel 18: 4, 20) your spirit (life force) returns to god, because your strength to live comes from him. so when you die, that power goes back to him ( job 34:14,15; psalms 36:9).
your soul is you, your spirit is an inanimate force.
