hangover is the bodies reaction to shock dehydration. alcohol replaces the water in your blood stream.
this causes the muscles to ache because they are not getting water (including the brain).

to cure a hangover before you go to bed drink a 16-24 oz bottle of water. put another bottle of water and/or gatoride/poweraide next to the bed to chug as soon as you wake up. if you wake up to pee during the night get a drink of water or juice before going back to bed each time.

in the morning take 2 tylenol & chug the other bottle of water - then follow up with a breakfast which includes juice or watery fruit like oranges, grapefruit or melon.

No, no, no. All of those who said "beer" are WRONG. DO NOT drink more, it will only make you feel worse later. Drink lots of water, take a really hot shower (like, as hot as you can stand it; that'll make you sweat all the alcohol out), take a couple painkillers.

Of course, there's always the old stand-by...don't get drunk enough to get a hangover. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after you drink, and eat plenty of carbs (again, before, during, and after). These things will absorb the alcohol and it won't stay in your system as long. Oh, and pee lots.

As for me, I've managed to avoid hangovers thus far in my drinking career. And puking, for that matter. Then again, I'm a huge lightweight.
