if you were re-writing the 10 Commandments, what would you write?

1- Don't push that "Hate the sin, love the sinner" bull crap.
2- Have some form of belief system.
3- Don't bring physical harm to another human being.
4- Don't bring mental harm to another human being, unless in the end it will bring them happiness.
5- Pray for all, especially those who despise you.
6- Read all religious texts with an open mind.
7- Vote Democrat
8- Stop disapproving the 4% of the population that's gay when 86% of the population doesn't approve of of you
9- Live life to the fullest, and see that others do too.
10- Never live for yourself.

The Scripture says that "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." I couldn't see myself ever having the infinite wisdom required to write such commandments. Whatever is set forth in the Word was put there by DIVINE inspiration for mankind to follow. Being a member of the family of a creation that was made just "a little lower than angels" merely gives me free will to believe and follow, not exalt myself to a place of authority and omniscience.

I wouldn't re write the Ten Commandments. They're not mine to rewrite.

If someone were to come up to me and ask what the ten most importand and all encompassing guidelines I could offer to a person trying to live an honorable, productive life.... I'd give em' their list. I don't have the list with me right now, though.
