I was raised in a church, and then when I was about 13 everything started to really make sense. It's so hard to explain the peace and hope and joy...he turned my life around and it keeps getting better. I'd never go back. God is so cool.

Why would you say "you were a child and didn't know any better..." A child coming to Christ makes the angels in Heaven praise. Anyone coming to Christ makes the angels in Heaven praise. The child is just a genius to do it early on.
I became a beliver because I was messed up. I was addicted (not mentioning to what) and I was just in a terrible state. I was crying all the time, often for no reason. I was very depressed. I was trying to be the perfect child that my parents wanted to be. I was putting on a "happy mask" to cover up mistake after everything else. I was losing it. I couldn't be perfect and I was giving up. I thought there was no way to win. By the way, I had been in the Methodist Church my whole entire life. So everyone expected more than I could give. My friend was the worst. Every time I tried to change myself into someone better and get out of depression and living as someone I wasn't was (I pretended to be tough because I was strong, when I really wasn't that tough) she would just laugh and make fun of me and everything possible to discourage me. I couldn't come out of this fake, happy, "everything's great" nutshell that I had been living in.
But instead of giving up what I had been living in, my life, by killing myself and refusing God's gift to me, I gave up the life I had and was reborn in Him. And I know the angels in Heaven praised God the day I was accepted, too.

My true and honest excuse is....I was raised to believe. Then one day i decided that i didnt want to believe anymore. Cause everything in my life was horrible and evil. And there was nothing good and worth living for. Then i met my boyfriend....who is an athiest. I became pregnant and am about 4 months along now...and in the last 4 months ive had a lot of troubles. That is when I turned to God again....and asked that he helped me...and if he helped me to not lose my child and gave me a health baby....i would dedicate my life to him and my childs life. After I made that promise....me and my baby were surprisingly so much more healthy. Its been amazing. Hopefully nothing bad happens.....or i will be forced to give up all together. Forever....My child's health is why I believe. God gave me something great.....it is now growing in my tummy. And with his help, im hoping i will carry my baby to full term...give birth to a healthy baby. Thats all I need to believe....

I became a believer because God the Father drew me to His Son, Jesus, the Anointed one, who died that I might live.
I was not a good or wise man, I was made willing to confess I was wrong, and a god made in my image was as flawed as I.

God slapped me up aside my head a few dozen times, and then when I finally decided to pay attention, He said "Follow my Son."
