People think that just because their avatar is some old Caucasian Fart and if they constantly cut and paste scripture that I am supposed to automatically believe that they are a real die-hard Christian that has been for 50 years or so and that automatically means that they know what they are talking about.

Though I do realize that there may be some retired Christians that feel this is theior chance to spread the Gosphel, I also feel that this is just some punk kid trying to be illusive and tricky. You'd be surprised how far those kids'll go for something so meaningless.

If you've seen any of the posts from those old farts, are there any that you think are just trolls in disguise?

never trust a person by their avatar. I wouldn't even trust you. If you can't figure out a way to put your real face on the computer then they must be hiding something. I probably am.

Trust that General looking guy! He looks like the type that would tell you the truth and smash your face in if you didn't agree!

I trust him!

Who are you calling "old fart" LOL. Caucasian old fart is worse, and has racist overtones. Who says blacks aren't racist?

Who cares how old the person is or what avatar is used? I care more about what is said, and if it makes sense or not. I have read brilliant writing by some young men and women, and crap by older people. I have also read the opposite. Logic, reasoning, and thoughtfulness is what I key in on, not emotion and parroting. It irritates me when I ask someone a question online (in an attempt to get that person to back up an assertion he/she has made), and that person gives me a website. That tells me the person doesnt know, and is passing it on for someone else to answer.

If you are the kind of person that believes age or appearance dictates knowledge level, you will be fooled often. Politicians make full use of this weakness in people and always dress nice and smile. They kiss babies and use polls to figure out what they think people want to hear.

Religion is slightly different, and i know that is what you really are talking about. Either you believe or you don't. Don't blame the other guy for saying his piece, cuz when it comes down to it, believing, or not believing is up to you. Its all about personal choice. But i will say this, if you were a true Christian you wouldnt be calling people old caucasian fart. I don't ever remember Jesus teaching that.

What if your 360 picture really does show an old fart? I find that 90% of you out there on Yahoo answers are between 13 and 45. That leaves the fringe people like me at 65 as the distinct minority. However I do have experience on my side and know how to survive and stay alive. I share this experience anonymously and freely to all who ask questions.

My Tomahawk missile is highly offended at being referred to as an "old fart."

I'm 58 years old; I'm glad I don't fall into that category. I participate on Yahoo!Answers because I'm still learning about life and trying to figure it all out.

Someday, I hope to have the maturity so many Yahoons demonstrate with their questions and answers.

I can spot them and almost always reveal them to where they sometimes withdraw the question from shame or embarrassment. But can't say I know of any (yet) in the religion topics, I usually don't look at the pics any how.

looks can be decieving and there is no telling who you can believe or not, however if they are pasting scriptures to help you with a question just get your bible out and examine the copy they sent you to see if it's true. if they are just trying to be illusive or trickey"thank god that if the scripture helped you that he is still in control when others think they are

I am an old fart, and while I don't know everything, nor do I pretend to, what I do believe are things that I can substantiate.

This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm
