I'm chronic major depression, severe. I've been on most psycotropics, I've seen psychologists, psychiatrists, and LPCs. I've been hospitalized five times, I'm currently having shock treatments. I just feel like I really really don't want this anymore.

Everything may be messed up. Seem completely wrong and worthless but never give up. Trust in God, he can help you through this. Anything you're dealing with God has given to you for you to come to him.

"Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me- to keep me from exalting myself!.... He(God) said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness"..."

I have Asperger Syndrome (a form of autism). Before being diagnosed, I was placed on psychotropic medications and went through horrible experiences including harming loved ones physically and killing beloved pets. I have tried to kill myself 5 times in 10 years and have been in the hospital (psych) over 20 times. I have gone through more bizarre and degrading bulls**t from doctors and hospital staff that I could write a book. I have yet to turn 30. I don't "want this anymore" either, but I am stuck with a lifelong disorder. Fortunately, I have family to love me and to help me fight to get to a better place in my life...how will they do that and what will all their hard work have been for if I were to kill myself?

I can releate to you right now (if you see my question that I posted in my profile). I havn't been hospitalized due to how bad is the budget in my neck of the woods (people like me can hardly get any help that they need until it's too late). Anyway...how long have you've been this way ? Are you alone or do you have people in your life ? If you do have people in your life, think about how it would effect them and yourself if you we're gone perminately.

Then try your best,to gather strength from those around you. ::hugs ressuringly:: A hug should help. ::hugs again.::

I hope these two hugs, would help a bit and remember your not alone there with this problem. There are many in the world that have it,you shouldn't be ashamed.

Believe in the power of God, look for a church near you, no matter its religion, look for spiritual guidance. And most of all try to comprehend that you no matter what are a great person, that your family and friends love you, need you, believe in you. Continue taking your medication; remember depression its just a chemical turbulence in the brain. Its not your fault, its not you, its just something you cant control, because its about receptors in your brain that are not at a good level. So look for friends, go out, life its beautiful if you are on the hands of God. Bless you.

Please, just take it a minute at a time. If that's all you can handle then just think of it as small victories that will allow you to heal. Remember too that you are not alone in this. People do care and there is someone out there who needs you. Keep talking to people around you. Keep saying how you feel to them. Let them help. I care.

That really is too bad. I have depression from Post Traumatic Stress, but I don't think it even compares. Life can be so unfair, can't it? Hang in there, my heart hurts for you.

I went though a similar situation, you have to learn to "accept" things you cannot change, or deal with immediately. It makes it easier to find a way out. I have found that once you have reached your absolute "bottom" and find your way out, life gets easier.

Stay positive, and dont shut out the people who care about you.

Oh, honey. Well, do you REALLY wish you were dead? I want you to THINK about this. Whenever I get this depressed, and I do at times, I think about the peolpe in my life and how they would feel about my death,.. what I would be putting them through.. This alone keeps me alive!

There is help out there. Talk to someone you trust. Just keep on keeping on, things will look brighter for you. I'm sure you have people who care about you who can help you get through this.
