It doesn't have to be a fancy one. I like to make cookies, bars, all of it.

there are so many fabulous desserts to pick from
I like that this is so tasty and different than the normal chocolate desserts (don't get me wrong I LOVE chocolate but something different is nice once and a while).

LEMON PEARS AND CREAM

½ c up water
1 cup sugar
1 small lemon thinly sliced
6 ripe med Bartlett pears
Lemon Custard:
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp lemon peel
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup half & half (or milk)
2 egg yolks (slightly beaten)
½ tsp vanilla

In 2-qt casserole combine water, sugar and lemon slices. Cover. Micro high 3-4 min, or until boils. Peel pears, leaving stems in. Arrange pears upright in casserole, placing one in centre. Baste with sauce. Cover. Micro 7-11 min or until pears are fork tender. Cover. Refrigerate.
In small bowl combine sugar, peel and cornstarch. Blend in half and half. Micro 1.5-4 min or until mix boils and is slightly thickened, stirring every 30 sec. Blend small amount of thickened mix into egg yolks. Return egg ix back to thickened sauce and blend.
Reduce power to 50%. Micro 1-1 ½ min or until very hot, stirring every 30 sec. Stir in vanilla. Cover and chill.
Serve pears with lemon custard sauce.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pie:

Ingredients
2 1/2 c rhubarb stalks (about 1 1/4 pounds)
2 1/2 c sliced strawberries
1 1/4 c sugar
1/4 c cornstarch or tapioca pearls
1/4 tsp salt

Crust
Prepare the flaky pie crust and refrigerate while preparing the filling.

Filling
Clean the strawberries and remove the leaves.
Cut the strawberries in halves (or quarters for larger berries)
Clean and trim the rhubarb stalks.
Cut the stalks into 1/2 inch to 1 inch sections.
Add sugar, cornstarch or tapioca, and salt.
Stir until rhubarb is evenly coated with dry ingredients.

MONKEY BREAD!!!

3 cans Pillsbury biscuits
cinnamon
sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350*F. Make a cinnamon and sugar mixture to taste. Open and cut each biscuit into 4's.
Roll biscuit pieces in cinnamon/sugar mixture until evenly coated. Place evenly around greased bundt pan.

In a sauce pan, melt butter, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until smooth and creamy. Pour over biscuits.

Place in oven for approximately 30 minutes or until cake is slightly crunchy on top.

Remove from oven. Place a plate on top of bundt pan (upside down) and flip so that cake falls out onto plate.

my gramaws no bake cookies.... 1sk. butter 1cp. milk 1cp.sugar 3 tbl sp. cocoa. slow boil. add 1 cp. peanut butter. 2-3 cp. oats. done quick and goooooood.
