I was born a Catholic (no choice there) then I lost faith in the catholic church. I then studied, buddhism, and hinduism for 3 years but didn't find answers. Then when I moved in with my stepmom and dad I converted to Lutheranism (no choice there either even though I was a teen). Then after I got married I lost faith there also. Then after a lot of soul searching and reflection I found my niche. Six years ago I studied formally to be a witch and became initiatied by choice and have never looked back. That choice changed my life and happiness for the better and I am much happier. I have no more inner conflicts and I have anwers to questions that all the other religions could not and would not answer.

hahahah, my answer is hilarious... and it is true, although I guess you don't have to believe me...

I found out when I was 21 that I was born mormon (I obviously never knew that...)

After the early mormon years, I was some other form of Christianity...

My mom and I converted to Judiasm when I was in 2nd grade.

In third/fourth grade my dad took me to a Baptist Church

In fifth/sixth grade, just a Christmas tree and no religion

seventh/eighth grade Lutheran church with my best friend

9th grade through 18 years old: about as atheistic as you can get

18-20 baffled theist

20-21 went back to judaism

21-22 no longer practice, but identify with being Jewish, and very much believe in God.

And I'm 22... so that's my life history of religion!

Many! I have studied the bible and the Koran. I have been through many phases of Christianity. I feel that any book that is god inspired should contain a perfection of philosophy. Its not the parts of the bible and Koran that I don't understand that scare me. Its the parts I understand. I could write better commandments then the 10 commandments! Where is thou shall not enslave people. Where is thou shall treat women and everyone as equals. Not believing makes me nicer to people the first time I meet them and make me responsible for my own actions. I like it that way. Good question!!!!!!!!!

3.
I was Christian but i left it coz it didn't provided me information about the Personality of God and there were so many interpretation of the Bible and none from an alive saint person, self realised person.
I became Buddhist, for the fact that I love animals and they preach ahimsa, non violence, but I gave it up, coz again, the God subject was also not be given in depth.
Now I am Hindu, Hare Krishna, coz this religion has all the information one need about the God , like His many names, Where He lives, Which kind of relationship we can have with Him, what is the soul, the material world, the spirtual world, Heaven, Hell, sin, etc and the process in wich can lead the practicioner to achieve the ultimate human goal - love for God, Sri Govinda.

Non-religious to Wicca. Unitarian-Universalist. (atheistic) Agnostic. Atheist.

I made those changes cuz my 20's were quite turbulent. I was learning about myself during that time, so in doing so, there was some religion-switching. Agnosticism (now atheism) seemed to be the answer for me as I spent many years in it compared to Wicca and UUism.

Excellent question! I left the Pentecstal church cause they fel that they are the "most holiest" people on earth. They tech that everybody else is destined to hell. That just didn't sit right with me.
When I say everybody else that included other Christian denominations!

I was born an atheist (we all were) then raised Catholic. I became an atheist whe I was 18 becuase I realized that all religions were invented by man through ignorance and fear of the unknown. I realized that there is no god out there that listens to us and helps us along the way.

Thanks for asking!

I've made two changes. The first was from Catholic to Southern Baptist, mostly in response to the molestation scandals of several years ago. Being Baptist drove me toward fundamentalism until my brain refused to take any more. Now I'm an atheist.

From Baptist to Pentecostal. The reason I converted to Pentecostal is because I was blessed with the gift of the HolyGhost with evidence of speaking in tongues. So when I was still at the Baptist Church I was told that I had to go in the parking lot to speak in tongues because I was confusing the congregation. At that time I knew it was time to GO!

About 6 because my parents made me go to church as a kid. As I got older I made my own choices, but I had to leave home and go find another church.
