All you have to do is notify your case worker the baby was born so he/she can be added. You get medicaid for 6 weeks I think it is after baby is born without reapplying, and the baby gets medicaid automatically for a year before having to reapply. But you HAVE TO call your worker so they know the baby is born. They will need to know certain types of information to add him/her (birth-date and stuff like that). If you don't know who your case worker is, just call the office and they will look it up for you!

Congratulations!

You can let the worker know that you are pregnant and provide a pregnancy verification. Then, when the baby is born, you need to report this to your worker, and the baby can be added based upon deprivation (absence, incap, etc). The newborn should have covered eligibility for 30 days depending upon the type of Medicaid case that you are on.

You child DOES have medicaid. You just need to apply for a card. You can do that at your county health department.

If you get Medicaid, your baby already has it. You should be getting a card for him/her in the mail by the time it is six to ten weeks old. If not, call your caseworker.

All you have to do is tell your caseworker that you had a baby, and give them the babies name and birthdate, They will probably ask you for a copy of the babies birth certificate. They will add the babies name to the medical card for the next month. Then you should recieve a medical card in the babies name for past medical bills, (like the babies stay in the hospital. Good luck!!
