two.
it's very important for children to be socialized and one of the best ways for a child to grow up learning how to interact with other people is to be raised with another kid.
as an only child I struggle with it to this day, I cant handle being around to many people because It what I'm not used to , and I'm very shy and quite because I was sheltered and never got to really socialize. I cant even go into detail, but It really blows!
Definitely have two kids, even if you have to adopt the other, your kids will thank you for it later.

I have been wondering this same thing. I currently have one child. I want another one, but I am afraid that I will either ignore the first one, or not love the second one as much as the first one. I do however love children. This is a tough one, but I know for a fact that I am very happy with the one that I have.
PS I am an only child and I was never lonely or felt like I needed a brother or a sister. The way I look at is that I got everything I ever wanted and if there would have been another child inthe house then I would not have been as spoiled as I was, so whatever I lacked (a playmate, a best friend, etc.) it was made up for with undivided attention from my parents.

I only have one child (a son, 4 years old) and i am thinking about having another baby but i am not 100% sure if i want to or not. I feel like one kid is good enough for me.
If i don't have anymore i won't be depressed about it cause i have a son and nothing in the world is better than that.
I am 26 years old and if i were to have anymore i want to before i get 30 so if i don't by then i most likely will be getting my tubes tied.
If people wants how many ever kids and they can support them
them then go ahead.
My mom and daddy had 7 kids together but the most kids we had (my sisters) are 2.
But my papa had 21 kids with 2 different women.
There is no way i could ever really have more than 2. If you only want one that is fine you don't have to have another for the other one to have someone to play with or whatever.
It is what you want cause you are the one that has to go through the pain of having a child and raising it.
Do what you want to do just like i am doing. Good luck

I have four so having one or two is like not even having children. As long as you outnumber them (or the same number) you're still in charge. Once they outnumber you, you've lost the battle and it's just trying to control chaos and the wind.
Two is better than one though, makes them more well-rounded. There is a definite threshold between two and three though - whole other ballgame.

They say two children tend to play together more so free up your time, they also are less needy. My brother has a one year old and a two and a half year old and they just wander around together and look after each other, even at that young age.

2, because the first child might get lonely all by itself and the child
needs to have another sibling to play with and to confide in when there are rough times. But the only one who decides what is best is the Almighty God!! He knows what is best for ur family

two
because one might get lonely. And alot of my friends that are only children say that they wish they had a brother or sister. And even thogh i get really mad at my little sister, and i dont even hardly see my older sister, im glad i have them because i think i would be a spoiled kid without them.

ONE because you can spoil them and focus entirely on them!
Plus single children are more smarter academically.
Two kids will always fight over toys and attention, that in turn will irritate the **** out of you!

Two one boy and one girl! hopefully it works out like that. Two kida are tough to handle but having only one child is not fair to him/her. They need someone to grow up with and learn from!
