try to tell it in a subtle way. do not make fun of the person.
it would hurt since the truth always hurts.but since you are a friend and is concerned for that person. im sure the person would rather hear it from u than anyone else

i used to work one... oh my God it was a torture because he was so nice and very friendly. what my other co-workers did was they sent him a note, an anonymous one. but i don't think it worked because he still had the BO for as long as i worked there (two years).
