Ok, looks like you will be there over the Christmas and New Year Days. Most hotels may have compulsory dinner package for all guests on the eve, so do be prepared to join in, whether you like it or not.

You have time to travel around. Use the air-con coaches for travel between provinces, they are cheap and you get to travel in relative comfort, like in tour buses or coaches.

Recommend to take a trip to Hua Hin for the seaside resort stay. At least that area is more sheltered from the rain than on the western area of Phuket.

Then head to Chiangmai. You will like it there. Take time to visit hilltribes etc. If possible, head to the Golden Triangle. Nice place to stay around for a while.

Still have time, go to Khao Yai National Park in Nakorn Ratchasima. Stay in hill resort or if you want, there are winery stay in Pak Chong nearby.

Need more info, you can get hold of me at tongbn@yahoo.co.uk for more info on where to go if you like.

Ask ... if chatting up a girl if they are a KATOY that means that they are probably a guy with boobs beware looks like the real thing. Also depending on whereabouts you are going get all your jabs, I could give a long list of things not to do but overall just be sensible and have a good time.

get away from the city...go to bangkok to see the major sites: ie temples/palace...other than that it is all about the sex industry, so get out of there after a couple of days of sightseeing. def go to koh phi phi....you can actually stay on the main island. it is really laid back, and has some of the most amazing beaches i've ever seen. if you're into the hippy scene, i had friends that spent two weeks at krabi beach...back in december and january they stayed in a 2 room bungalow for about 15 usd/night...they canceled their trip to bali b/c they didnt want to leave!!

Yes, some of those Thai girls are actually boys.

Also, the actual Thai girls (they're really over 18, so when they say "girls" they don't mean underage ones) perform interesting- um- adult acts. Definitely catch a show if you're there, and don't miss the Thai massages, they're great.

As always, take your shots, especially for Hepatitis. Maybe carry iodine pills to disinfect water.

people who thank me by utilising telling me that I "did a solid job." people who put in a solid notice for me, or brag on me. it particularly is particularly the only way that i've got faith solid approximately myself...i won't do something without getting the approval of somebody else. And in the event that they say that i did no longer do a solid job, or i became sloppy, then it makes me particularly look down on myself. i choose to do some thing over if i think of it wasn't "passable" adequate. Now, what particularly makes me sense solid, is women that flirt with me...which seldom each happens, yet I do like it. :) super question!
