Looking for a list of the most environmentally-friendly companies, especially as "friendly" relates to petroleum. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I vote for the United States. What other industrialized countries have similar air and water quality.

Best wishes !

Do you look for countries or companies..?

The most environmentally-friendly countries probably are the Scandinavian countries as well as the German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

The US is really really far behind!

Here in Switzerland, a gallon of petroleum would cost approx. 5.30 dollars - so an average new car has a comsumption of only 32mpg (if I calculated correctly).

By the way, the ordinary tap water in Zurich has a better quality than most bottled waters available...

The Scandinavian Countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark) tend to be the most over-all environmentally friendly industrialized countries as far as emmissions and environmental pollutants go.

As for petroleum-friendly, I'm not so sure.

My guess would be France due to their nuclear technologies. This allows them to cut down on pollutants in the air. Also, India is a pretty advanced country as well as Japan, but due to their immense population, their petroleum intakes are quite large.
