Wellbutrin XL is time released...more constant level of medicince throughout the day....Wellbutrin starts to wear off when it's time to take your next pill.

XL is extended release, meaning drug will take effect at an extended amount of time and wellbutrin is just plain, once the effect is gone, it's gone.

Wellbutrin Xl from what I know is stronger by longer release period, needing less of it per dose. If you've been prescribed it, best check the side effects first. There are many that aren't fun. One of them is rage or really angry at little things.

I think you Wellbutrin SR. I take Wellbutrin SR and have had no side effects except a little dry mouth. I have lost weight and my sex drive has not suffered.

The wellbutrin xl has a low level of sexual side effects, while wellbutrin makes you feel numb, no desire for sex. I used them both, prefer paxil cr.

wellbutrin is taken twice a day. wellbutrin xl is taken once a day.

I think the XL means it is extended release. That means it is slowly released into your body, establishing a constant level.
