Ok... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say YES... it is cheating.
#1- who takes a break for a week? Usually when couples take a break... they don't attach a time frame to it. Basically its however long it takes to work out the problems. But, I have never heard of anyone saying "lets take a break for a week".
#2- I would say its cheating because you're kissing on someone else knowing that you plan on getting back together with your bf/gf in a few days. That same person that you took a break from a few days prior. Morally it just doesn't seem right.
Its like you're taking the break just to give you enough time to go kiss other people. Like its your relationship spring break or something.

If you love the person then why would you want to be with another, even if its just a kiss it shows A) you don't appriciate or care about what you got B) that you aren't ready to be serious
If my did that and we were on a temp break or giving eachother space I would consider it cheating because its telling me that you gave me space and I TOOK IT! I hate how permiscous and scandelous people are these days,.. LIfe in a relationship aspect isn't like pac-man where you are suppose to get as many dots (hook up with peopole) as you can. That is superficial. You are suppose to find someone that likes the same stuff you do and loves you for you and you love them for them and you are going in similar dirrections and start walking down the road of life together. If you aren't happy then move on and stop stringing the other along and if you think he is stringing you along then figure it out before they break your heart!

personally, i think it's a bad idea to "take a break" from your bf or gf because different people have different views. one person in the relationship might think it was a break up and the other might think that it means that they are still together and that the person just needs a little space. so if u did they might think it was considered cheating and might not. he might have thought u two have already broken up.

depends if you mean break as in you guys are broken up or break as in taking some time away from each other. If it's the 2nd one, then yes. Even though you are taking time away from each other, it doesn't mean that your not in a relationship. You still are! So, it would be cheating! So break up before you do anything that might hurt him.

i think it's cheating, you're just taking a break, not breaking up. you should think about the meaning of this, maybe you should get separated, if you want to kiss someone else.

Yes. If you are going out with your boyfriend/girlfriend, I don't really know why you would take a break (probobly something I don't know about) but if you really love them... what made you kiss someone else?
If you would kiss someone else while not seeing your boyrfriend/girlfriend for a week... do you really care about them him/her and really want to be in a relationship with him/her?

well answer it the other way around...if your the girl and ur bf kisses another girl while you two are taking a break..would you think he was cheating on you? if no..then no! if you think it is ..then yes!

well it depends what kind of break. if you both have an understanding that you can see other people then its fine. but if that happened to me i would consider it cheating and move on if i were the other person.
