Have you heard of the dolls that you can order and have made especially to look like your child? Would you be interested in owning a painting in much the same manner? Your child in "doll form" to preserve a certain age of your child? It would look like a doll but with your child's characteristics, in water color. The resemblence would be hard to denie. My question is, would this be creepy or is there a real interest in such things? I am not soliciting, just trying to figure out a direction in my art business. Thank you!

I had a similar idea a few years ago, but instead of painting them I thought of transferring a photo image onto cloth for the face and making rag dolls. I didn't think it was creepy. Never did it, except for one that I made of my son to give as an xmas gift to his little cousin. She adored it. Made a few others that were more like pillows than dolls of my niece and nephews and they and their families loved them. I think you should do it, it will be a success.
