I don't think of real love being blind, I thinks its more that if you really know and love the person, you are aware of their problems, but you love them anyway.

A release of chemicals and other biological changes do begin to cloud you higher reasoning functions and makes you feel euphoric - just like a drug. This tends to cloud your perceptions and let's you focus on what makes you feel good at the expense of things that might interrupt this feeling. It does pass in anywhere from 3 to 9 months or so.

Yes it is, sometimes you know it's over but yet you still tend to be in denial or hopeful that things will change because you are in love and don't want to let go.
