cancer, I am not dogging you in anyway, just engaging a thoughtfull conversation. But I do find it interesting that first off, you want me to read the bible, and that makes it all make sense? I dont think so, you want me to believe what someone has written and have it be so? And going to church?! Thats a joke, church is scandilous, look at all the prosecutions of priests and clergy, and the fact that they pass around a collection bin? For what, so the church can be remodeled? Or have gold candle sticks? And to believe the clergy? Pope? Priests? The ancient Romans and Greeks believed in "gods" aswell, there high priests would claim that they saw a vision and walked with "god" and heard his word. When in reality they were in a state of halusination! They would consume a tonic comprised of cocaine!! As far as your mother, Im glad to see that she is a survior, had a couple in my family as well and am greatfull they are still with us. But how do you put into account that it was "gods

gods work" that she survived. I like to go along the lines as scientific healing. Even though that there are things doctors cannot explain, but really, who knows that we got the "best candidate for a doctor"? When a doctor that got A's has the same chance of holding the knife as one who got D's. To the school, in their eyes, they still pasted. See what im saying. I find as people believing in a higher power to be ludacris. They believe, as an escape from reality. A means to not face the real world.

If you don't believe, then you don't believe. I'm not sure what you're wanting from this question. Are you asking someone to try to convince you otherwise? Because if that's the case, then probably, your more of an "unsure" than an unbeliever.

I don't go to church. I am a Christian. I read my bible. I believe in God. I believe in Jesus. I believe God sent his son, born from a virgin, to the world to die for our sins. I believe he rose from death, and that because of his actions we are forgiven.

There are some very crooked church-goers, but that doesn't mean they all are. There are some very nice people of the world, but that doesn't make them Christian's either.

Your life is not judged by your works, but by your heart.

Here's a story for you (quick version) my husband was in a motorcycle crash. He was really badly hurt, and put his elbow through the gas tank. Completely shattered his elbow. We saw the X-rays, it was GONE, like there was no elbow there. My family all came & prayed over him. They prepped him for surgery, and when it was time, and they got in there, his elbow was completely healed. There was nothing wrong at all. He did not even bruise.

He returned to work the next day.

This is just a sample of the miracles I have seen. There are way to many to list here, but because of the things I have seen, and the way I feel in my heart, I KNOW God is real. And while I am sad that you aren't sure, I also am not the person who's going to condemn you, or try to "make" you believe either.

You do, or you don't.

Reading the Bible and going to church will not save you. Salvation is given by grace when you accept Jesus into your heart, knowing that you are forgiven of all sin, past and future, because He died for Man's sins on the cross. You can go to church everyday of your life and read the Bible, too, but unless you've got Jesus in your heart, you are not saved. Once you are saved it is an ideal situation to attended church, read the Bible, get Baptized and all that goes along with it, but if you do not do these things and believe Jesus is the Savior, the Son of God, you'll go to Heaven.

When my bio-mom died, people said things like: She's in a better place, God needed her more than we did, and she'll always look down on you from Heaven. It was insane. I was a kid and I just looked at these people in shock.

But like you were saying if a person is cured, God did it but God did not make them sick, or give them a disease or a crack pipe. My mom's(foster mom) house burned up while she was there with her 4 year old son and her invalid mother and she got them out alive. She inhaled a lot of smoke and had to go back in a burning house to get her mom. Guess who got the credit. She was guided by the hand of God.
