Is your boyfriend a good father figure? Does he care for your son as if he is his own son? If so then you should get him a gift and a card. He's probably much closer to your son than his biological father.

Absolutely, You answered your Own question Babe:
Your Question: Should I get him a Gift for Father's Day
Your Answer: He is the closest thing my son has to a father
So Yes!
If his real Dad is Involved REGULARLY -Yes get him a Gift,
If he is Involved Somewhat - Get him a NICE card.
If he is not Involved and Undependable- Get Him Nothing or just a Happy Fathers Day Phone Call FROM YOUR SON - NOT YOU(and that is ONLY - IFYOU FEEL LIKE IT THAT DAY, IF NOT- Forget him)

Your boyfriend should get a father's day gift from you because he's there for you and your son. His real father however should not get anything until he steps up to the plate and be a dad!!

Yes. That would be a great idea. Even though that is not his real dad,he is father figure. Considering that he never seees his real father, your boyfriend is the closest thing he has to a father. As for the real da,he doesn't deserve anything if he isn't doing anything for his child.

If he is like a father to him yes. Your son is 2, and you have been together for a year, then he is a father figure for your son.
Years ago when I was younger, I gave mother's day gifts to my mom and 2 other women, one because she is my best friend's mom (and I see her all the time) and another because she kind of mothered me when I was going through a rough patch.

What does your son call your boyfriend????
They do make cards and gifts for step-father's ...maybe you can go that way. I know your son is little but ask him for his opinion!!
If He never sees his real dad, I wouldn't worry about getting him a card or gift!

yes. my mother and her husband have been together since I was 3. I don't call him dad, but I've always done something for him for fathers day. Even though he's not your sons father, he can still be your sons dad.

Yes, acknowledge the role that he plays in your son's life. Forget the sperm donor - being a daddy is earned through your love, affection, and committment to a child - biological or not.
