Tell them that they need a tissue. Or you could point to your own nose, people usually pick up on that.

My family has a way of telling each other that no one else knows. A friend of my sisters used to ALWAYS have boogers hanging from his nose. If he was there, he had a booger.
After that, if someone in the family had a booger on their nose, they would say, "You have a " and then use his name...I won't tell you the name because it's an inside family thing, but here's an example. "You have a shazaam."
If it's someone you're not close to, I'd tell them, "You need a tissue," while pointing to your nose.

Ask. "Are you going to eat that?"
If they give you a quizzical look, point to their nose and say, "You've got the biggest booger that I've ever seen trying to make a run for it." The offer them a tissue.
If it's your boss, just start rubbing your nose around your nostrils. This usually causes people to touch their own nose. Wink when he looks down at the crust on his finger.

Depends on who they are:
If they are your friend.. I am sure they wouldn't mind just being told right out, but in a quiet way.
If they are a stranger and you won't be around them very long....wipe at your nose and maybe they willl get the hint.
If it is someone who you hardly know....say..you might want to go check a mirror, and touch your nose.
However: I would want to be told,, and quick@

Tell them as soon as you notice, that they have something on their nose. If it would be too embarrassing, and you were in front of a large group of people, then just wipe your own nose, and then point to them and say, "You need to do the same."

Act like it's no big deal. Just say, 'Dude, you got something hanging out of your nose!' I hope that a friend would let me know before I went on with my day unaware that I was sporting a bugger!

Just tell them that they need to wipe their nose or if you are good friends with them, tell them they have a growth coming out of their nose.

just tell them. It would be more embarrassing for them to go look in the mirror and see the thing and realize they had been talking to you all this time with it hanging out. I would rather be told..Hey we are all human..And personally, i would be upset if you didn't say something.

ummm.....lol.. just tell them .. um , excuse me , but the door to the booger boarding house is open and the booger man is hanging out......lol
