Northwest Herold- Lake in the hills Illinois.
An Illeagel with 3 pior DUI-no drivers lincence-killed a girl in an a accident-while drinking and driving. The family of the girl are poor and one is Spanish. And the Ileagal had no insurance. If he had been deported like he should have -this girl would be alive today and others would not have to pay for her furneral. Sad but true. This one we could have saved-if we enforced our laws. Not all accidents are Illeagels but this one could have been prevented. What do you think?

Look nor you, nor the government, nor the laws, nor I will say who will live and die. Accidents are caused by so many different people and by so many different situations. The only one who says what will happen is God. Just because one illegal did something wrong does not mean you have to judge every illegal nor that every illegal is going to commit a crime. If because he killed the girl and he was illegal she could not have been saved, because the law is not God and you are not God. This just sounds racist to me, in that case let's get all the criminals no matter their back ground out of the State. My friend was killed by a Black woman (I have nothing against Black people) in a Burger King while on the job. She was here illegally but if she were to be in another country she could have died too. It does not matter what the situation this is life and God manages our lives, that little girl could have been killed by any other drunk driver just as easily.

Completely agree this accident COULD have been prevented...very sad.

That being said....here are a few items from the our local paper.

Gang members kill 14 year old in park
Pet shop owner being sued over dying puppies
Two children injured in auto accident

I would never let an incident that involved an illegal make me MORE concerned about the ILLEGAL aspect (and post such) then the family of precious girl. Just as I wouldn't let "gang members be my concern RATHER than the parents and family of the 14 year old"...or "Heinous pet shop owner over the animals".....do you see where I am going with this.

So many DUI's.....so many precious children......SO MANY creeps with records a mile long, no insurance and WHO KNOWS THEIR "legal" standing.....let's just put THEM away!

Wow, if we are going to be writing our laws about who can stay and who can't based on incidents like this, then a whole bunch of citizens are going to have to ship out too.

Every undocumented person I have ever known has been a good person, a hard worker, and, other than their status, a lawful person. Does that mean that ever IA is wonderful? No. On the other hand, my uncle was killed by a drunk driver with prior DUIs and no driver's license or insurance. His killer (who only served 180 days and is driving again today) was a white US citizen with family ties to the Mayflower.

But if you can't draw conclusions on everyone based on one person's experience one way, then you shouldn't draw conclusions based on one person's experience the other way either.

I think the immigrants that are trying to go about this the right way are getting lumped in with the illegals and getting a bad name.

I agree, it could have been prevented but our government is lazy and stupid. So we won't expect any change soon.
