Prague is the best city in Europe for a tourist. Why?

Think of Prague like a triangle containing the three main points on the tourist destination map: Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square, and Hradcany (Prague Castle area). Unlike other cities, you can easily walk to each of these places.... several times a day if you want. Practically everything contained within this triangle is a place a tourist would want to see. Every winding cobblestone street, every old church, every historic building is worth popping your head inside for a quick glance, or a longer stay if it appeals to you.

Next to Florence, Italy, Prague is the best place for immersing yourself in history and culture.

Prague is a dream for people who hate taking taxis.

Prague is a visibly lively city. On the same visit, I attended the opera AND saw a Patti Smith Concert (yeah, that Patti Smith, queen of punk rock). I climbed forested hills, visited museums, swam in a huge Soviet era swimming pool complex called Podoli, ate fantastic food, and lost weight. (It's ironic, but as long as you walk around during the day, you can eat like a pig in Europe and still lose weight)

London, because it's a city that never sleeps and has at the same time a country feel; it is huge without being dishuman; it is the coolest capital in the world and the heart of the global village. It has charisma, dignity, wackiness ... and a nice cuppa ( I could go on forever).
