If Bethleham is in the Middle East, why is Jesus Christ (and everyone else is the Bible) depicted as a white male in almost every picture of HIM? Is it hard for thousands of different cultures for thousands of centuries to believe that their Lord and Savior is of Middle Eastern descent?

Because the art you have seen featuring Jesus was created by European or European descent artists. If you look at depictions of Jesus by say, an Asian or African artist, you will see that his image has been changed to look more like the people of those areas.

The idea being, I guess, that people want to see a face that is familiar to them. If the face looks sort of like them, then they will like it more.

Actually, Jesus was probably black.. or middle-eastern.. The changes came with King James and his version/translation of the bible; the catholic church and the rise of the "holy" roman empire. Since most popes have been white (roman until recently), the image of jesus was changed to make whites feel comfortable and connect with him. I do believe jesus was black, possibly ethiopian...

Yes Jesus was a Jew which means He was not white.
Why does it really mater what color He was, it doesn't change anything. He died to save the world (all races).
I don't care what color He was. He is my savior and that's all I care about.

I don't know jesus so i don't care!
but the rest of my kind(believers) wouldn't buy into it unless they thought of him as white...i don't know...maybe they're a bunch of crybabies and wished this jesus guy was white because they cant stand the thought of him being any other color(fake, stupid, racist people/christians)!!they're pathetic if you ask me.obviously if jesus was real there's no way he was white!!
