The swatting is probably adding to his aggressive habits. Try being very calm when he's like that, and talking quietly to him. Don't respond to swats with more swats. Just walk away and ignore the aggression, or let him get some of it out with a piece of string.
Some of it he'll grow out of. My brother's cat was like that... literally clinging to hanging plants and anything else he could get to, and attacking everyone. But he's quieted down now, though it took a couple of years.

Dont try to use force with him, only teaches him that it is ok to swat since you do it. He is just trying to play like he would another kitten. But, if he gets no reaction, he will stop. Ignore his bad behavior and only act like he is there when he is good. Make sure he has plenty of toys that he is allowed to be rough and tumble with. Stalking and swatting is in their nature.

Well Hello! You're trying to teach him to play nice by hitting him? Of course he's going to play rough, he thinks the whole thing is one big game!
Next time he tries to bite or swat you, get up, walk into another room without saying anything, and shut the door behind you. Praise and pet him when he plays nice. He will soon learn that to get your attention, he has to be gentle.

You've got yourself a teenager. That just goes with the territory. Males can be a little rough. He'll mellow out eventually. Just keep being consistent with the redirection -- he'll get it eventually. Plus spoil him rotten and cuddle as much as possible. Sounds like a handful, but that doesn't sound mean to me -- just a huge personality. "You swat me, I'll get you back when you least expect it, he he he...."

He's becoming a teenager. He's going through his sassy phase. He'll mellow out eventually, just those hormones are raging and he wants to assert himself. If you haven't yet, get him neutered. Otherwise, when he gets rough, ignore him. (don't swat him or he'll think it's part of the game) When he's being sweet, pet him and tell him how wonderful he is and feed him tuna. He'll get over it.

I went through the same thing. One guy wrote to me and said, "Your cat hates you! Haha!" Not so funny. Anyway, I have an 11 month year old male kitten. I haven't found a cure just yet for his behavior - I'm hoping he will grow out of it, but it sounds like your cat is just being a kitten. Mine viciously attacks me. I've tried tapping his nose and saying no, water bottles, "time-outs", it doesn't matter. I would try getting some new toys for your cat...honeysuckle toys are good for them. Good luck.

Neuter or distemper shot. Maybe a playmate which is what our cat needed. All else fails, kick it around the room till it has no more teeth, then no bite kitty kitty lmao

That is exactly what my cat used to do. Maybe he just wants to play with you more. If you play with him he will most likely get tired out and calm down. But to let him know maybe you should sit down and watch TV. And if he comes to attack you just pick him up and hold him maybe pet him, and he will calm down.Oh and when he does attack you don't laugh, he will think it is OK. If none of this works, buy him toys to attack, instead of you.

Discipline him if it's a major thing but if it's a minor thing just tell him "no" or "bad kitty". And don't forget to love him.
