It is illegal to remove a puppy from the mother before 8 weeks. The dog needs to go to the vet for a complete exam and sched. for its required shots and other preventative medications

The two people that said it's too young to be away from it's mom are right! Dogs shouldn't be weaned away from the mom until 8 weeks of age. You shouldn't go worming your dog without even knowing what kinds of worms it has. Being so young, the medication could cause him to get sick if you give too much and some wormers shouldn't be given to young animals. Definetly go see your vet, get a complete check up and if you suspect your dog has worms, take a stool sample with you so your vet can check for you!

Your puppy is very young. Normally a puppy should not be separated from its mother until it is 8 weeks old. To be on the safe side I would start a relationship with a good Veterinarian. If you want to get the worm medicine yourself check out Pets mart or even try Fosters and Smith web site. You can even call them and they will recommend a worm medicine for you. Dogs are the best! Take care of your new baby and give him lots of love.

he should go to the vet anyway for his shots, so take a stool sample. They will do a flotation test, and give you just the right stuff for the type of worms they find. Good luck

Try Heart Guard Plus. It's the kind that tastes like beef and is chewable. The kind that isn't chewable and is tasteless makes my dog puke and that means it'll get heartworms because it vomited the medincine up. It probably won't vomit it up if they actually want to take it. They like the taste of it.

Go to petsmart or go to the nearest vet..(or your regular vet) and ask him what kind you need to get
