I've liked bagels with cream cheese but lately I've had a fondness for plain bagels with butter. My school sells the for a buck a piece so it's good way to spend the $1 a day my parents give me for stuff like that.

Salt bagel. They are hard to find. Second choice would be garlic.
Of course, texture is important to. These days, the world is filled with soft "bagels". I say if it doesn't take muscle power to eat it, it's not really a bagel.

The bagel itself? A local deli has a rosemary/rock salt bagel which is savoury and fantastic. It's so tasty that it goes well even with a plain cream cheese.

Best bage I ever had was from Etsa Bagel on E50th &3rd - Cinnamon Raisin (toasted) with strawberry creme cheese!
