About religion or politics or life in general?
Mostly because they grow up in an enviroment that teaches them a certain way, belief etc.. and they never bother to learn any different than that and then treat those who go outside thier beliefs as modern day lepers.
Ignorance is the biggest problem we face in the world. If people would be open to differences in religion, politics etc.. we wouldn't have half as much crime and virtuallly no war.

Because they were educated in 'government schools' by people who could not find anything else to do after they got out of the 'government institutions of higher learning.'

Maybe it is the fact that we can see other persons imperfections clear as day but when it comes to our own imperfections we put the blinders on.
