Take a deep breath; inhale through your nose slowly and count for a few seconds, then let it out through your mouth equally slowly. Try doing it a few times even if you're not angry but just a little stressed out- it should help you relax and clear your mind. The only thing to be careful of is if you have any breathing difficulties or any condition like asthma in which case it probably isn't a great idea. I wouldn't really recommend driving unless you're in a fairly isolated area because the other traffic might make you feel worse and I think it might put you or others at risk because your mind wouldn't be on the road.

The other way is to try not to get angry in the first place- which I know sounds a little stupid but whatever it is that makes you angry if you can mentally take a step back and try to view whatever it is from another angle it might help you feel less angry and help you do deal with whatever made you feel that way. I find that writing can help with all kinds of emotional situations- if you keep what you write you can go back to it any time and what you read may show you something you never realised at the time or surprise you in other ways! Sometimes I also play patience- i've been playing it since I was little so it's pretty automatic but it allows me to think about things. I suppose that's what prayer wheels or rosary beads are for, but i'm not religious, so for me it's cards!

It's a good question. When I am angry, the most important thing I try to remember is that it is not good to make other people upset or miserable just because I'm angry. So, the best thing to do is to isolate yourself. If you're angry, don't take it out on anybody. It has been said that misery loves company and that's probably true, but it sure is selfish to want to hurt other people just because you feel a certain way.
Once you have yourself isolated (even if it is for just a minute) do breathing techniques to calm yourself down and think of something else. If you have time, do something that you like to do. I like to exercise when I'm upset. It seems to help. Then you'll be able to think more clearly in order to resolve your anger and carry on.
Resolving anger fully takes a bit of time and requires you to think clearly. There are all kinds of techniques available. Google them, and good luck!

What I do when I am angry is clean- I notice that I scrub everything clean when I am angry. If it is a consistant anger that lasts more then just a few minutes or hours, like if you are just an overall angry person, I would suggest counseling - or talk to a close friend or family member about what it is that angers you. Everyone should have an outlet to vent.

Anger in and of itself is alright to have. Remember that's it's an emotion, and natural. What you do to act on that anger is a different story. A friend of mine used to give herself 24 hours to be angry if she was really upset. She'd stew about whatever it was for a day, vent, and then tell herself that she wasn't going to waste more than 24 hours of her life being angry about whatever it was. I've tried it, and it helps me, too.

You can also try exercise, as people have noted, or creative outlets, if you are into that. Anything that you know calms you. Music, meditation, reading, whatever it is. Sometimes just venting to a friend helps a lot, too. Good luck!

Talk to someone about it what usually works for me. Just letting your mind deal with stuff and having another person's input can help solve it all out a lot quicker. Talking to yourself in private also works in a good number of cases or you can just do a physical activity and just put your anger into the workout but it all depends on what you feel like doing to let your anger out. Of course there's always hitting the perosn who made you angry in the first place but then you'd probably get in trouble for it.

I think that you should pray to god and avoid that people till. You have control over yourself. Also think about your salvation if you have one and the people you may hurt when you get angry. If you did something wrong like said something evil to a brother. You should repent and ask for forgiveness. I think you don't have to get angry with someone or something, if you know that you are right than there is no need to get mad. Think about this why are you mad? and why should i keep on if it hurt me and get me mad.A good way to not get mad is preaching the word of god. because the truth will set you free. Keep god first and you will see. Hey if you think that smoking helps you are wrong because after you smoked you feel wost and makes you more angrier. That my input on smoking ," just food for the mind". That a express.

Hang a heavy bag in your basement or garage. When you are angry, beat the sh*t out of it. You will also need boxing gloves. Not only is this a great stress/anger reliever, it is a great workout!
heh, yeah weed works too. Just not as good of a workout :)

The best thing to do is take slow deep breaths. Take a walk or find a quiet place to mull over the issue in your mind and determine if it is really worth raising your blood pressure about. If you are still upset try to approach the issue/situation in a calm quiet manner.
