God expects each and everyone of his people (all of us) to follow and obey his word (the bible). If you ever sit down and read the bible, I promise on everything I love you won't find not one verse telling anyone to do anything wrong. Although people aknowledge Christ as their Saviour, we still have personal choices to do what we want, and unfortunately some people know right from wrong and still choose to do wrong. In the bible it says that God is love so if and when a person shows you anything else but love, they aren't doing what God wants them to do. Everyone is quick to judge, but being a servant of God is a personal walk. Nobody should ever associate the actions of one or even multiple people with the actions of whole group in anything. My advice to you is to read the Bible and see what you can get from it yourself. God has the answer to each and every question you can think of, including this one.

Any Christian filled with the Holy Spirit would be loving towards, even if you made them angry. And my nickname has it all wrong. God does not send you to hell if you do one bad thing. If you believe in Christ, confess Him as your Savior, you're saved. There's no going back. Nothing you do, no power of hell, no scheme of man, no power or principality can pluck you from His hand. A truly repentent Christian will realize that they have sinned and ask forgiveness. A truly repentent Christian will endeavor to never commict the act again. You don't get sent to hell for making one mistake. You get sent to hell for not believing.
I'll be praying for you, dear. I don't even know you, yet still I love you. However, as much as I love you, Jesus loves you more.

because they live a religous life and not one thats a one on one relationship with God. They have allowed someone to do and think for them, instead of learning and seeking God themselves. Their minds are controlled by those in power in the church, they believe only what theyre taught, and project their own feelings of inadiquicy on everyone around them, esspecially non believers, because so many churches teach that sinners are to be scorned and shunned, and that there is no love or forgiveness except for those who are miserable "serving" God.
Never ever ever decide whats of God by judging a human being. people are simply unstable, no matter how "perfect" they are. one day they might be jsut like christ, and the next fall so far that they murder their wife.
Its sad but true. I deal with it every day.

I'm not sure, but maybe because you brought up the word "persecute" in your other question. I've learned not to bring up negativity in my interactions because it just spurs on other negativity. Maybe if you had asked, "How can I get more love from people who call themselves Christians?" this may have brought on more positive answers.
Not sure though, like I said.

because they only say they think he's loving, they actually think he's a god who will only send them to heaven if they believe in him, no matter how many good deeds you do...and if you do believe in him and do one little bad thing in your whole life, get punished for it, and do everything else as a good person, you also get sent to hell for the rest of eternity.
ahem.
yeah.
loving.
sure.
most christians are not such fanatics though, and are good people, i'm just talking about the crazy ones...

don't confuse the essence of a religion with the attitude of some of its followers.
by the way we are all servants of the loving one God. whether you like it or not, whether you're aware of it or not, whether you acknowledge it or not doesn't matter. we all are.

Humans aren't perfect. In fact, humans have often proven to be downright terrible. Most people who claim to be under a religion just use it to try and support their own aims. Its an unfortunate case for Christianity. Since it has so many followers, it has a lot of fakes.
