As a guy who cares very passionately about his hobbies I want a girl who shares my interests. Namely Fantasy, Sci-Fi, comic books, and games of all sorts. The problem is there are a lot of men just like me out there and a much smaller percentage of women to match. So the fact that these special women can afford to be picky about their partner I ask, "What does a guy have to do to stand in of the crowd?"

Be confident. Be cute. One thing I've noticed is that nerdy guys readily accept the stereotype of "I look bad" or "I dress bad". Make an effort to look good. The truth is that most girls want a smart guy but they also want a smart guy that looks good.

I think I'm geeky...LOL. I'm 35 and happily married to another geek. I am into all the Sci-Fi shows (I threw a mini-party for BattleStar Gallactica), I used to have a good=sized comic book collection (I don't anymore) and I'm a gamer. People are surprised to hear all that! My husband doesn't shun his "Geeky" side...he embraces it and to me, that's sexy. A sense of humor about it all is even sexier. Don't try to downplay who you are and what you enjoy! I have noticed that some hard-core geeks don't pay attention to basic personal hygiene...I guess it's the all-nighter gaming sessions...LOL. Get a cool haircut and make sure that you are confident in who you are and what you have to offer. And if a girl isn't interested in the same hobbies, that's okay. As long as she appreciates your hobbies, that's fine.
