No I don't think fast food restaurants put ingrediants in their food they make you more hungry. The problem is all restaurants constantly up their food portions. Then your stomach grows and you want more to fill you up. Fast food doesn't make you fat. You make you fat by eating too much of it. If these teens can't stop eating fast food that's their problem not the restaurant. Furthermore think of the food you are eating. Its not anyting of substance that is going to keep you fuller longer. Heavy starches like potatoes fill you up quickly but you get hungrier faster. Eating more protein, whole grains, and vegetables will keep you fuller longer - none of which are offered in fast food establishments.

You're hungrier now because you're an adult. Don't be ridiculous.
Fast food restaurants purchase the ingredients for their food from the same places every other restaurant does. There is no "secret ingredient" that makes you hungry. If you crave a particular restaurant's food, you will be hungry.
Restaurants utilize marketing to get the average melon-headed sheep, much like most the people on this forum, into their restaurant. Certain colors, such as red and yellow, stimulate excitement and appetite. Certain types of music do too and other evironmental factors also. Restaurants would be stupid not to utilize them.
For those that answered "yes", check your facts. There are absolutely NO facts out there that support your case, while there are millions of cooks, managers, owners and franchisors in the world that can refute it. For those that mentioned "MSG", it doesn't stimulate appetites, it's a flavoring, and it's illegal to use in the U.S. for commercial food, so no, it's not used either.
Do you really think there's some big consipiracy that the millions of fast food workers in the U.S. have kept secret while being disgruntled minimum wage workers? Get a clue.

Music makes you eat more. According to a report by the journal Psychology as well as Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage that you take time over your meal, so you consume more foods. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re investing in your mouth.

It’s Friday brunch time and you just can’t stop going back intended for seconds. But hang on! Stop for any minute and suck on an extra strong mint. The flavour will put you off that third plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.

Yes. MSG stimulates your appetite. It is in Chinese food, also. You can buy it and add it to your food at home--best-known brand is Accent--but it isn't very good for you.

Buy smaller plates. Little crockery means portion control is much easier – those diminutive portions suddenly look huge and you’ll be happier to consume less.
