I had my son turned inside of me it's called a external version. I do not recommend it. There is actually still time for the baby to turn itself. Babies instinctively know to turn down, it your baby isn't too big it should move on it's own. My son was 9 1/2lbs when he was born, he wasn't moving anywhere :)!
Here's something I found:
One of the most well-known exercises for turning a baby into the head-down position is called the "breech tilt"exercise. Place a board at about a 45 degree angle between the floor and a couch. Mom gets on the board with her head down at the bottom of the board and her feet up at the top, and stays in the position for about 5-10 minutes. It may be more comfortable for mom to lay on her back and raise her bottom about 15 inches off the floor, with some help from some pillows, of course. Another option is for mom to get into an extreme knee-chest position. The point is to get the hips higher than the head so the force of gravity will encourage the baby to move up out of the pelvis and into a more favorable position. This is a harmless exercise and can be coupled with such things as placing headphones near the pubic bone and playing music to encourage the baby to turn, and talking to the baby (or having dad talk to the baby near mom's pubic bone).
Email me if you want more information about an external version.

Not really, no. You have plenty of time yet...2 months to go! Some babies stay breech up until a few days before they're born. Just be thankful that your baby isn't like both of mine were...head down from the end of the 8th month...head butting my bladder. Oy vey! :) I'm sure your baby will be fine.
Some doctors will try to turn your baby (by manipulating your uterus from the outside) when your due date nears, if the baby is in a position that's not condusive to a vaginal delivery (breech, sideways, etc.) However, I understand it's extremely uncomfortable, almost painful, and a good deal of the time doesn't even work, and can potentially harm your baby.

If you are 7/12 months pregnant, then I wouldn't worry cause the baby still has room to move around. A lot of babies are breech until the end, so I would only worry if I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and the baby hasn't moved positions.

During my pregnancy, my son liked to lay on his back in my pelvic girdle (that is sideways, cross ways?) When he wasn't doing that, he was breach also. When I started having Braxton-Hicks (that's preliminary contractions, usually start in the latter part of the 8th month) he started to turn (thank heavens!). For now, I agree with your Doctor. I don't know of any exercises, but if you go to a prenatal class, the instructor may be able to help. If the baby won't or can't turn, your Doctor may suggest a C Section.
Some babies want it their way. My son was turned by the doctor 3 times before he was born, but he turned face up anyway and broke my tail-bone. He was in the birth canal and they couldn't do a C Section.

I don't know of any exercises, but my sister's youngest was in the breech position until almost the 9th month. He did finally turn and everything was fine.
This reminded me of a funny story... a friend of mine also had a breech baby, and her grandma told her (I swear) to shine a light between her legs and the baby would move toward the light. OK, stupid as it sounds, she tried it. No, it didn't work. When she told her doctor, he said, "You do know you're having a baby not a bug, right?" :-) Trust your doc ~ everything will be fine!

No, I had the same problem and unfortunately it is really up to the baby to do the turning. Now, you are still very early and she could turn at any time, but once you are at a later stage the doctor may decide to try turning the baby themselves, of course, the risk that you take is that they make break your water trying to do this and you will have to go into labor that same day.. They attempted to turn my baby with no success and I did not go into labor either. Therefore, when I started getting contractions they attempted to get her out, butt first, and no success either, so I had a c-section... Therefore, keep your faith and hopefully she will turn as you are still very early...

I don't know about exercises, and I sure would be careful about that and check with your doc first, but I have heard that an accupuncturist can make a baby flip around by putting a needle into just the right spot somewhere on one of YOUR feet. I swear I have read this somewhere. You ought to call one up and see if I am just crazy or if this truly is a technique they do learn.

Stop worrying so much. My daughter was breech one week before delivery and turned herself just fine. They turn all the time in the womb. When its time for delivery, she'll be in position and ready. The best thing to do is don't worry about every little thing.

The baby should turn on their own. My lovely son turned the day before I gave birth. That was something else I have to tell ya.

Don't worry about it. Babies will toss and turn all the time. She still may have the chance to turn "head down" by the 40th week.
And even so, the doctors will conduct what they need to do if by labor the baby is breach.
