okay, lesbian #1's last name is Smith, and lesbian #2's last name is Jones. Lesbian #1 and #2 got married. Would their last name be Smith or Jones?

I would imagine that it's up to them. Or they could hyphenate.

I say it would be Smith Jones or Jones Smith, but thats really a good question. And the same question applies to gay people too

Depending on who wants to share the last name..
If a lady wants her significiate other to share her last name.. her name willbe smith-jones

sry but i wont be able to answer this question appropratly cuz im a chick and i dont think that two girls should get married. honestly its a choice your going to have to make... i dont know if your the one thats getting married or not but what ever... i like guys and i think that the last name should go to the girl who wears the pants in the relationship....

Since they can't get married, it's a civil partnership, it's their choice whether they change they name officially (on birth certificate as well) or they stay as they are. A civil partnership isn't a marriage it's an official document saying you partner can be known as the next-of-kin.

thats a good question. i guess it would depend on the two ladies. i really hope they wouldnt get married in the first place. a marriage is for a man and a woman.

I would say that the more manly girl would give the last name or have them decide which one is best or just go by their own.
