Absolutely. I seriously looked into it, but was thwarted by the Country's maximum age limit for Immigrants. What a beautiful and friendly country, Oz is.

as i write this i am inquiring about my eligability to live and work in australia. sounds cool and i am getting older so management is right up my alley these days.i party to much to be respected by american companys and have had over 100 jobs i have walked off more jobs then most peopple will ever have. i call it like i see it and if the boss is wrong i tell him and never let him take credit for my work .if he does and i am not heard i say screw you guys let him figure out what to do next and leave those idiots behind i have spent several years working for the same boss but we understand each other you pay me not own me and i do what i want i show up around the time everyone else does you pay me for the work not my ability to read a clock and be in a certain place at a certain time if you want some one to do that its not me. i sure hope i can get along down under better then here .i have only found 3 bosses like that one retired and the other two got bought out by the competition .i quit of-course not wanting to work for the new owners as they would find my work ethic less then satisfactory .

Last time I checked on moving to Aussey Land, they want a lot of $$$$$ up front and or you need to have a skill they figure they NEED. Or be willing to run a biz where you employ a lot of Aussies. Auss. is about 20 years behind the USA in the mistakes it is making and true to form in the Capitalistic sense, they are conducting themselves the same way as the US. But even more so. Gotta look at the future of a country as much as the present. But thanks for the thought. Are you Aussie?
New Zealand is another possible but they guard their borders jealously! Wish the US did!

Every Australian I ever met was really arrogant, the women had foul mouths and were very harsh and quite militant.
They were very jealous of everything and everybody and criticized anyone who they perceived as even a little bit successful. Like crabs in a barrel they were so petty. They bashed the US constantly, then bragged about Australia until I thought I was going to be sick. My Aussie roommate stole a bicycle and it was me, the American, who was trying to talk him out of it. Whenever he did something stupid and harassed the local people, everyone assumed he was an American.
The Aussies think they know America so well even if they have never been. They just know it through the Hollywood movies they have seen.
If I never see another Aussie the rest of my life, it will be to soon.

I've heard and read great things about AUS. I don't think the answer to all problems is 'bring more people', though, there's a case to be made for wide open spaces...

That would be interesting. I'd like to go and visit first, see if I like the weather, their culture, food, etc...I'm skilled, so I think it would be easy for me to find a job.
Where I live it's really hot, so I'm not worried about the hot weather.
I thought about it, it's way to far away! I wouldn't get to see my family that often. I think I'll stay in Mexico, but thanks :)

hot, dusty and the worlds deadliest spiders and snakes. I've known too many Aussie men to even THINK about moving Down Under. No Thank-You. Besides, thanks to a recent gun ban, the crime rate has soared.
