I pray and intercede for others (and myself) all of the time. Sometimes it's by myself and sometimes it is while praying together with others. Sometimes it's through regular prayer, and sometimes it's through praying in tongues. Sometimes I understand and know what I'm praying, and sometimes I do not. In any case, there are so many benefits to it:

When Interceding for Others

1. I know others are interceding for me and it is an honor for me to be able to do the same for them.

2. I get to see God answer my prayers and I see the fruit in people's lives.

3. There is the satisfaction of knowing that when you do it, you are not only obeying God but pleasing Him deeply.

4. You experience deep personal intimacy with God. Have you ever been so close to someone that you could finish their sentences, and you begin to know and understand their desires? When you intercede for others, God is sharing His heart with you. He is asking you to pray and telling you specifically what for. It can be very intimate. Would you reveal your deep longings to someone you were not close to? So it is with God. He gets' close to you in order to do it. Hearing God speak to you and express His heart to you is one of the greatest things in the world!

When Interceding for Myself

Often I will pray and ask God for answers. I also ask Him all of the time to search my heart. I ask HIm to convict me of any sin in my life and just to speak to me.

During these times God often makes me aware of sins and other things in me that I honestly was not aware of, and I am able to repent and change to make right whatever I need to. God also speaks to me and touches my heart this way. It is a great way to draw nearer to God and get to know HIm more. It's awesome!!!

a real Christian is prevalent with that the Bible is the text fabric source. in case you do no longer understand what this is i will clarify it to you. The source is the reference the place tips is drawn. the tips is accumulated and understood with a view to collect a approach and behaviour in direction of the objective standards the place one would desire to apply to formulate a number of purposes. In Christianity, the Bible is the text fabric source. So it rather is the text fabric which guides one that calls them self a Christian who performs in accordance to the factors it establishes. There would be some who call themselves Christian who 'worship' the Bible. yet interior the Bible there are particular issues which says that there is to no longer be placed any gods beforehand God. The Bible is a text fabric, no longer a God, consequently a logically thinking Christian won't worship the Bible, and neither will one that has easy God interior the path of the Spirit of God. definite, you're lacking very plenty. you're doing what's stated as, "Throwing the child out with the bathwater." you spot one element, and then dismiss it as blunders. interior the Bible is the muse and the recorded historic previous of what a Christian is by potential of the oldest text fabric available. so which you're basically screwing your self for no stable reason.

Romans 8:26-27 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

1. Sometimes - and I have found this true in my own life- we are upset or distressed and can not for the life of us put what it is that is upseting or distressing us into words; much less explain or even know, what we want done. Yet God knows what we are going through and knows what it is best for us. The H.S. help us in this by communicating clearly where we could not. (That is one of the roles of the HS).

2. I find this promise to be a great comfort. So manytimes God has provided for me when I did not even realize what I needed to be provided for. Or even when I could not express the emotions in my heart with words or thoughts.

Does this help?

26 And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

You just got to know that if you are led in the spirit things in life are according to the will of our Father. He knows our needs before we even ask. Always keep praying, worshiping and praising. Never cease! God Bless You!!

Christians who are following the example of Jesus will effect the world around them. Not by telling others they are wrong but by setting an example of how life should be lived and inspiring others to follow the same example.

Don't worry about the insults. That's their problem not yours.

To WTF; Can you give me a better example to follow that comes from today's leaders? *LOL* Most of them operate under the motto--Do unto others, but do it first, and if you get caught deny everything.

I don't think that I consciencely applied this scripture, but it has applied to my life. Have you ever been so hurt you didn't have the words to express the way you feel, only tears and the Lord comforts you anyway. Or you say "God please help me", that's all; and He does. That is why I Love HIM he knows my inner thoughts without me having to say a word.

I apply it by usually doing prayers of thanks and asking for God to guide me. When I thought there might be a position leading music for my small church that I attend, I prayed to God to show me if this is what he wanted. The next week at church, they started publishing they had someone that lead the music of the church. I don't ask for him to give me things, I ask him to lead me as he wants.

Next time, put the scripture in the question. It's annoying that I have to go searching for it.

I don't believe the gift of tongues is for us. We have the revealed Word of God the sign gifts are no longer in effect.

1Cr 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I don't know what to pray or don't have the words, I ask the Spirit to pray for an through me. I know he knows everything I need. Take heart, I'm praying for you, too.
