Absolutely. This is his second offense. If they went ahead with the fight, Corrales could've been mauled by a much bigger fighter, in boxing terms 4 lbs. is a lot. $$$ is lost, fans are robbed, the casinos are robbed, the fighter who actually prepared for the fight was robbed. Castillo should just move up in weight.

I would tend to agree with the first answer here, i think a suspension is in line for a second offense. Especially considering that this was a high profile matchup and that there was quite a bit of time and resources used to see that he would make the weight. If everyone is looking at you to make the weight, you either have to make the weight or not take the fight. It is not like anyone was like wow didnt realize he might not make the weight here, everyone knew about the weight issue, and he still wasnt able to resolve it. Aside from lacking some professionalism there, i think there had to be some kind of sanction against him in order to keep this from happening (not that it will once he moves up).

Just sad that everyone had to lose out on missing what should have been another really good fight.

Your questions pack a real punch. Are you Don King in cyber disquise? Boxing is fading into the cultural sunset. As a kid I used to watch weekly boxing matches sponsored by Gillette on TV. When TV was new and boxing was the king of sports. Now, it is a sideshow, a carnival act with so many different associations that there can be five boxers holding the same championship belt. How did you come by your passion for this sport? I loved it when Sugar Ray Leonard was in his prime, and before Roberto Duran said "No Mas." When you could see more punches thrown in two rounds (Hearns vs Hagler) and landed, than you can see in two or three fights today. Only the Latino fighters seem to carry on what's left of a proud tradition.

He deserves it and more. I am a Castillo fan but what he did was very irresponsible. I was very disappointed and I don't even count. Think of the damage he cause to the business.

This was unconscionable. He and his handlers mislead everyone about making weight, it wasn't like he was even close!

Not only did he cost the promoters and the hotels, but what about the fans that spent their hard-earned money to travel to the fight? Frankly, I think idiots like him need to be made an example of....ban him for a year and fine the hell of of of him.

Maybe even more. Do you know how much money it take to set up a fight like that?.... Well I don't, but I bet it's alot. So he should probably be suspended and pay some money to pay for the canceled fights.
