I met this girl who says she has no boy friend. I have seen her 2 times now and want to ask her out. However, I just out that she lives with a guy. I have talk to her friends and they say that he is just a roommate who shares the apartment and helps pay the rent.
She is a real nice gal, but I feel she has something going with the roommate and somewhat reluctant to date her.
What your opinion, can she be having relations with the roommate out of convenience?

it's possible that this guy is just her roomate and they live separate lives, if you like the girl just ask to hang out with her one day before making a decision if you want to date her or not, if the roomate is there and he acts somewhat hostile towards you or rude then this guy may have some sort of relationship with her and is not ready for anyone to take his place.

Sounds like she and her friends want to make it clear to YOU that she's available.
This is no accident. Nothing on the line yet, no need to worry about the roommate at all. In fact, your strength (appearance thereof) is augmented if you treat the situation as if he were nothing at all, respectfully. Don't diss him/insult him, especially if you're at their place.
If you get involved, things advancing, then you can worry about the RM.

Just ask her out. it does not matter whom she shares and apartment with. Also what ever she did prior to meeting you is really none of your business. Just ask her out and start enjoying your moments with her an show her the respect that you would like to see from her ok.

Sure, she could be. But they could just be friends, and that's more likely. If you really like her, take the leap!
