Best to check with the Local Authority.

In my area dogs are completely banned from some beaches during the summer; on other beaches there is a restriction - a bit like an invisible barrier which you must not cross with your dog; and no restriction at all on others.

Because I live locally I'm OK with this but it could be confusing for a visitor.

P.S. The best of the dog walking beaches just happens to be the one where we are allowed all year round. Don't let them know at the Town Hall!

You need to contact your local council. Most public beaches do not allow dogs from end of May to September. There should be notices also displayed at the beach. Anyway most dogs are better than people. I know which I prefer.

You have to research on the net which beaches allow dogs and which ones don't. Most don't, but look for signs when entering the beach. Make sure you pick up after your dog so they won't ban dogs from every beach!

I agree with some of the other answers. You should try to contact someone to find out if dogs are permitted on the beach you are interested in. Some allow pets and some do not. But I commend you for bringing your dog on your outings. Keep up the good work. Hagd.

Depends on the beach. Up in SUNNY North Wales, most beaches have a "No dogs" part and a "Gogs allowed" part, but remember to take plastic bags, because even if dogs are allowed, you are required to clear up after them!

In USA, most beaches allow dogs after or before certain 'family' hours, so I take mine for sunset walks.
You might call animal control office to learn of rules in your area. Most beaches have the rules posted.

Ummm... Don't know about England, but contact whatever party is in charge of the beach (here is texas it might texas parks and wildlife or something) or look at their website. They may or may not be allowed, and if they are allowed, they may be required to wear leashes.
