London Is amazing, has all the palaces and main attraction, but is big and busy.
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and if thriving, with lots of shops and attractions but quieter than london especially around the castle.
Birmingham is the metropolitan capital, purely a british town, not many tourists yet the 2nd biggest city in england, so u feel like ur truly in england, not like london or edinburgh seeing lots of tourists. It has hundreds of shops, churches, more parks and canals than anywere else in britain, and stratford is only a short car/train ride away.

The most historic cities are: Winchester (my home town, check out our beautiful 900 year old cathedral) Bath, York, Stratford on Avon, Canterbury, Chichester...actually the list is endless. England is a beautiful country. If you are coming to visit us, I hope you have a great time.

The most beautiful TRUE city (been awarded the status) in the UK is probably YORK, with it's ancient City wall + HUGE Cathedral dominating the skyline:

ignore london. polluted an overcrowded that place. i'd go for canterbury. plus theres lots of beautiful towns hidden away. they only need findin
