fill up the 5 gal bucket then use it to fill up the 3 gal bucket. You will have 2 gals left in the 5 gal bucket. Empty the 3 gal bucket and put the 2 gals in the 3 gal bucket. Fill up the 5 gal bucket again and you will have 7 gals

Fill the 5 gallon bucket with water. Using the 5 gallon bucket, fill the 3 gallon bucket so that you are left with 2 gallons in the the 5 gallon bucket. Empty the 3 gallon bucket and pour the 2 gallons into the 3 gallon bucket. Fill the 5 gallon bucket. In total, you have 7 gallons.

Haha, alternative to Die Hard 2? Fill up the 5, pour into the 3 (leaving u with 2 in the 5) empty the 3 pour in the 2, fill up the 5, and there you have it, 5+2 or 7 gallons.
