...I`m asian. But i live in another asian country. My passport will be valid on december,so i have to change it one month before.
My problem is I have a Multiple U.S Tourist viza on my passport valid untill 2013. My question is: Do i have to re-apply new application form to the U.S embassy Or should i just live it that way?But then...Is it possible to have 2 passport?
I called couple times to the U.S embassy Consulate here. But for some reason you can only listen to the operator etc...Not the real people working on the embassy...Means it didnt give me exact detail what to do etc...I even sent them an email but as usual they said they cant give me right detail except to check their website. But then i check and read all of em all day i still didnt get a help...Its very depressing me..I dont know where to ask,Who to ask;(
Thats all...Thank you..And I`m hoping that someone could help me...!!!

It is a good thing you started working on this early. Trying to get any information from the government is very time consuming.

Since you have already tried on the computerand on the phone, I would suggest you make an in-person visit to the office where you would get a new passport and see if you find out.

My passport has an address that I can send mail inquires. Maybe yours does too. You probably have time to find out by mail.

I wish you the best of luck.

If I understand your question correctly, you are an asian from one country and are currently changing your citizenship to another asian country. Additionally, you currently have your passport from the first asian country and are about to get a NEW passport from your NEW country of citizenship. If this is true then yes, you DO need to get a new visa for the NEW passport. Your old passport should be invalid once the new one is valid.

If this is not what you are asking, then I can't help you. But you could go to the U.S. Dept of State website and contact them through the website probably.

Relex. You can simple attach (with a binder clip or stapler) the old passport with the valid visa to the new passport. This is a very common situation and any border inspector has encountered this numerous times. Obviously, if there have been changes to your biographical data in the new passport (for example, a name change) bring documents that support that change (for example, a marriage license) with your passport when you travel. Otherwise just carry both passports and relax!

I would simply attach the old passport to the new as you already have a valid visa current to 2013 so the visa should not be in question. Why not email the u.s.and simply ask? The U.S. Immigration would have been aware of the validity of your current passport when they issued the tourist visa.

Out of my knowledge your visa in the old passport stays valid until 2013. You just have to carry it with you when you travel, so that means when you'll pick up your new passport take the old one with you, let just the first page get stamped for "unvalid" and the rest you'll be able to use as usual.
