That is very shallow of them. Have they had a chance to meet him and talk to him? Good looking guys are often cheaters and self-absorbed rats. If you are over 18 you can see anyone you want. You sound very mature and level headed.

So let me get this straight he is well educated , but not good looking. If you love him go for it. I know you love your parents, but when a girl gets a certain age, she has to make her own decisions. I guess they think the two of you may have ugly kids. I don't think so. May God bless you both with good looking kids. Hang out to him, because it is hard to find a good guy like that these days. Well you seem like you are not a vain girl. Looks don't matter to you at all. Love is what is your main focus in a relationship.

Maybe there is something they see that you don't. It doesn't seem that looks are a good reason to dislike anyone.
I do know that at first infatuation the person you love can do no wrong. They are ideal, perfect in every way. It sounds as though you are at that stage.
Later you will come down off that high and begin to see all their faults. If your relationship survives that you have a good chance of making it work over the long haul.
Only you can decide whether you have a chance of making it. But make sure you're not blinded by infatuation, but can see all their faults and love him in spite of them, and can live with these faults.

Depends on your age, if you are a minor, you need to listen to your parents, although many teens do sneak out(I am not advising such a thing)..But if you are 18 and over, then don't worry about what your parents, say, for they are merely giving an opinion, you can take it or leave it.............
Please, in the future, make sure you spell check before you submit a question........

Loving someone means loving them for who they are; and not because your friends, family or peer group appreciates them. Your the one who will wake up next to that person in the morning. The test is are you willing to kiss them with morning breath. If your answer is yes; no disrespect to your parents, but continue to see this guy. It's better to be in love with someone that's less attractive, then to be in a relationship with Brad Pitt and be miserable.

That's so shallow!!! If you are happy in the relationship, then stay. If he's everything you say he is, your parents will eventually realize that you are happy and he is a great guy after all. It may be rough at first, good luck!

Do you live for your parents or yourself. I would assume that you are a responsible adult and can make decisions on your own. Live your life, even if they don't approve. At the end of the day, you alone have to pay bills, eat and sleep, so include in that list, relationship.
You're in control...not them.

My experience with good-looking guys is that they love themselves, are unwilling to work at a relationship because women fall at their feet, and they will always be looking for someone better.
Don't let your parents' prejudice spoil your happiness.

WHAT??? You're parents honestly think that??
Man you're parents' are pretty shallow, that's sad.
Talk to your parents and say that you truly care about this guy, and you will continue seeing him, and that they should respect your feelings.
Ask them why do you not like him because of his looks, why does it matter to them??
Just talk to them calmy becuase if you go in there screaming and shouting they wont listen to you. :)
Goodluck. Atleast you're not shallow like your parents.

Are you serious? Who cares what he looks like. Tell your parents to deal with it. If you love him then why do you care what they think and why are you even questioning what you should do.
