did the vet not go over this with you, or are you doing this yourself? most vacc. start at 8weeks and then span out every three weeks until 16 weeks at that time that would be their last series of vacc with a rabies included, the first time you took them in at 8weeks they should of included giving you a single dose of heartworm pill. it would be a waste to buy a 6month package since it goes by weight. you can get it month by month until your dogs reach a more stable weight. they should have an upper respitory vacc, which may or may not include lepto, some vets dont use it. i would get it. a bordatella intranasal if they are around other dogs or boarding. and rabies. they should be wormed 2-3 times, within this time. many vets have a different protacal on vacc. so check into it.

I'm not sure about the shots but I have a 7 week old puppy and they say anytime after 6 weeks old is fine. The sooner the better. On the shots, just call your local pet supply store and most of the time they will tell when the best time will be. If not call your vet and just ask!

Take them to the vet immediately for their "well puppy" checkups. At that time the vet will tell you when their next shots are due.

Start them on heartworm meds when they are 4-5 months old, but they'll have to be tested first to make sure they haven't been exposed.

Get them neutered/spayed asap.

definitely start them on their heartworm prevention before they are 6 months old - depending on your states laws most puppies get their rabies vaccine at 12 weeks old. Your vet should have given you a schedule and if not call and ask. Each state has a different vaccine schedule that they follow.

Consider the vaccines that the breeder gave null and void. Make an appointment ASAP with your vet. He/she will start them on their puppy series and heartworm prevention.

Now. I would take them in to the vet this week. They may need additional booster shots.

you need to discuss this with your vet. Many people have different opinions regarding which vaccination regimen to give and at what ages. Whether you give vaccinations for things like corona, bordatella etc. will depend on where you live, what you do with your dog and what your vet recommends. Please discuss this with your vet.

You might want to read up on vaccinations. Protocols are changing.
