the reason I'm asking about income is to see who can affort what and how can can provide service at a reasonable price to a wider income range... becuase i think all children deserve to have a proper loving place to be when their parents are working ... i'm really not trying to be nose-ie if you don't want to answer you don't have to...

2. 2 1/2 y.o.
3. yes, happy. Like the flexibility, I can drop him off at any time on any day without notice. . Dislike that the teacher doesn't give detailed info when I ask how he did that day. I would like to know what he ate, how long he slept, some sort of log.
4. 32 y.o. happily married
5. from 9 to 4:30 2-3 days a week
6. We pay $22 a day over 5 hours a flat amount income ranges from 60-65,000 for both of us.

1. St. Paul, Minnesota, $130 & $150 per week
2. Almost three and almost one
3. I'm satisfied. I know the kids are happy and loved, and that's the most important thing. I like the other kids there, and I know that my kids are being emotionally, physically, and intellectually stimulated. It's not really convenient, location-wise, and it's not very tidy or organized, but I'm willing to compromise on those two things because of the other factors.
4. I'm 34. And married.
5. I drop them off shortly before 9, and my husband picks them up shortly before 5.
6. What difference does our income make when you're thinking about your price? I will say that Deb has a range of families, from folks getting assistance to folks with two lawyers in the family and everyone in between.
She provides everything except diapers/wipes.
Her program includes a preschool curriculum for the kids of that age, a group music class, a group art class, and outings every week. She's also willing to run the older kids to school and pick them up.

Hey there, I have a day care in my home, don't worry it's still nap time for the kids. I charge $125 a week and provide 2 snacks and lunch. That is for 7:30- 5:30 Mon-Fri, 50 hours a week. I also have a part time rate of $100 a week for 25 hours or less. I only allow one child at a time to be part time for personal budget reasons. I provide all bedding materials, eating utensils, cups, bottles, and bibs. Parents provide diapers, wipes, tissues, anything personal for their child. Parents of infants have to provide formula and baby food. I have contracts, attendance and health policies with all the parents, something I strongly recommend for your peace of mind. Feel free to send me an email, I'd love to help out if I can, not that you need help, just thought I would offer. Good luck.

1. CA
2. 4 year old
3. I love my daycare/preschool. My favorite thing is its small size, I think it gives my child better care. My least favorite thing is the playground, I wish it was bigger for the kids.
4. Im 33 and happily married.
5.About 8-9 hrs M-F
6.Well I only make 24000 but hubby makes much more, however we learned the hard way that just because the daycare is big, fancy and expensive doesnt mean it is the best.
We pay 138 a week. That includes breakfast and snack. The hours are from 6am-6pm.

I am from Ohio, and I am a provider...I charge $2.50/hr. for the first child, and .50for each additional child. I guess I would be considered "cheap", but I have also paid huge child care fees, and don't want to make childcare a burden on other people. I only do it because 1, I love kids, and 2. for a LITTLE extra money, so I don't feel guilty about my hubby doing all the money work! I have heard of people paying $300.00 a week for 1 child!! Are you thinking of a center or at home??

I live in FL my son is 18 months and I am very happy with his daycare. I like the fact that they go by a curriculum. The thing I dislike the most is that there are 18 kids to 3 teachers. Im 22 and married. My son goes to daycare from about 7am to 5pm. Our house hold income is about 65,000 a year. We pay 138.00 a week.

best advice, call around other places and compare. Find out what they offer, such as, bus pick up/drop for school, homework help, meals provided or do you have to provide. The average cost seems to be 30 for a full day, which anything over 5 hours. Good luck

My daughter pays $100 a week each, for her two children, ages 1 and 3. She also has to provide their lunches and milk. Her kids are dropped off at 7:30am and picked up at 5:30pm.
Check around your area for sitters and go talk to them, that way you will be able to charge a fair price for your area.
